VPF LAUNCHES INNOVATIVE SELF-ADHESIVE MATERIAL MADE OF SILPHIE PAPER ON THE MARKET<\/h1>\n<\/div>

VPF GmbH & Co. KG is expanding its successful sustainability product portfolio to include the self-adhesive material made of silphie paper. This consists of at least 35 percent silphie fibres and impresses with its high-quality appearance and regional character. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The manufacturer uses the silphie fibres of the silphie plant to produce silphie paper. The fibres are obtained through a biothermal process without the use of chemicals. The silphie paper is composed of the fibres of the intergrown silphie (also called Danube silphie) as well as conventional pulp. The proportion of sustainable silphie fibres is currently at least 35 percent and is to be increased to up to 50 percent in the future.<\/p>\n

Silphie has been cultivated in Germany for several years for energy production and the generation of biogas. The silphie plants used to produce the adhesive paper are grown on regional land in Germany. The product is therefore “Made in Germany” from cultivation to paper production. As a result, transport distances are short and the CO2 footprint of the paper is further significantly improved. The Danube silphie<\/em> is harvested in autumn, then hibernates and sprouts again the following spring. It requires little care during cultivation and is characterised by a long and late flowering period – ideal conditions for bees and many insects.<\/p>\n

The silphie paper (VPF 10664) is available in 100 g\/m\u00b2 and is finished at VPF with adhesives 925, 927 and HM709UV in combination with an easily separable white Glassine B700-473. The paper is approved for direct food contact and is recyclable via conventional waste paper recycling. It is easily printable by conventional printing methods and laser printing. The minimum order quantity is 1,000 m\u00b2. DIN A4 samples and sample rolls are available on request at any time.<\/p>\n<\/div>
